About
Meet Bridget, your trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming counselor
LPC-A · SC License #11000 · Under the clinical supervision of Katherine Gross, LPC-S (#10439)
Fifteen years with children and families
Before private practice, I worked in child welfare, foster care agencies, and guardian ad litem programs. I was also a foster parent. I've walked alongside kids with a wide range of diagnoses, behaviors, and complicated family situations, and I learned how often the real story sits underneath the behavior.
Today I bring that same curiosity to every client. Is this trauma? A neurodevelopmental difference? Both? Getting to the root changes what actually helps.
How I work in session
You will never be talked over
I work hard not to interrupt or cut you off. You deserve room to share your deepest thoughts and feelings without judgment. Research shows the therapeutic relationship predicts progress more than any single technique, so I protect it.
Root causes, practical tools
You'll leave with real skills for hard moments, many from resources I've created myself, like my EMDR container and calm-place exercises. Homework is available if you want it, never required.
Faith-integrated counseling, if you want it
I'm a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and can offer a biblical framework for clients who want one. I also help people who have been hurt by misused teaching on gender roles and church hierarchy, harm that pastors and Christian counselors often miss.
If faith isn't part of your life, it won't be part of your sessions. I welcome clients from every background and belief.

Who I love working with
I connect especially well with women in their 20s and early 30s figuring out who they are and what they want, often while wondering whether ADHD or autism shaped their story. I also work with children as young as 2, teens, parents, and adults of every age.
